How does DOGLOC work?
DOGLOC uses a patented locking clasp and reinforced steel cable to help protect your dog from theft. Just wrap the leash around a fixed object, clip the leash into the collar ring, and lock it using the included key.
Is DOGLOC cut-proof?
- Reinforced with a stainless-steel core, DOGLOC is cut-resistant, deterring opportunistic theft using everyday tools (like scissors or small knives).
- While no system is 100% invulnerable, this design prioritises security without sacrificing style.
Can someone unclip the collar when locked?
- No. When locked, the leash and collar become a single, tamper-resistant system and can only be removed by using the key to unlock the lead clip from the collar.
Can I use DOGLOC like a normal leash?
- Absolutely. Use DOGLOC just like a regular collar and lead for regular walks. When needed, engage the lockable clasp for café stops, errands, or safer tethering for short periods.
Can I use a harness with DOGLOC?
- Yes! Simply clip to your dog’s harness during regular walks, then switch to the collar to securely lock them when you step away.
Will DOGLOC fit my dog?
- DOGLOC is currently available in Small, Medium, and Large.

Is DOGLOC waterproof?
DOGLOC lockable lead and collar set is water-resistant but not fully waterproof. To protect the full-grain leather, avoid full submersion in water, and wipe the leather with a damp cloth when it becomes dirty.
What happens if I lose a key?
- Each DOGLOC set includes two keys. Add one to a secure keyring, such as our AirTag compatible keyring, and take that with you on walks with your dog. Keep the other one somewhere safe as a backup. A locksmith can duplicate one of your originals if needed.
