Photo Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Bondi Peak Pty Ltd trading as DOGLOC, ABN 93 622 490 411, of 6 Baptist, Redfern NSW 2026, Australia (“DOGLOC”, “Promoter”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Questions about the Competition may be sent to support@dogloc.com.
2. Competition
These terms and conditions apply to the DOGLOC Dog Photo Competition conducted at the DOGLOC market stand at Paws in the Park in Mudgeeraba Showgrounds on 22 August 2026 (“Competition”).
By entering the Competition, each entrant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
3. Eligibility
The Competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older who attend the DOGLOC market stand during the Competition Period.
Employees, directors and contractors of the Promoter, anyone directly involved in administering or judging the Competition, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
The Promoter may request proof of age, identity, residency, and/or eligibility before awarding the prize.
4. Competition Period
The Competition opens at 9am AEST on 22 August 2026 and closes at 2pm AEST on 22 August 2026 (“Competition Period”).
Entries received after the Competition Period will not be accepted.
5. How to enter
To submit a valid entry, an eligible entrant must, during the Competition Period:
- attend the DOGLOC market stand;
- have a competition photograph taken by or on behalf of DOGLOC in front of the DOGLOC pull-up-banner;
- receive a unique photo entry number;
- complete and submit the official online entry form, including their first name, valid email address, dog’s name and photo entry number;
- agree to these terms and conditions and provide the required photography consent; and
- agree to join the DOGLOC email marketing list.
No purchase or entry fee is required.
Only one entry is permitted per person. More than one dog may appear in a photograph, but this will still constitute one entry.
The Promoter may take several photographs and select one photograph to represent the entrant’s Competition entry.
Incomplete, duplicate, late, inaccurate, or illegible entries may be deemed invalid. The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are not received because of a technical, internet, or device failure.
6. Photography and conduct
Entrants must keep their dogs under effective control and follow all instructions given by DOGLOC staff and the market organiser.
The Promoter may refuse or stop a photography session if a dog or person appears distressed, behaves aggressively or presents a safety risk.
Entrants must have the right and authority to permit each dog included in their photograph to participate.
No person under 18 years of age may appear in a Competition photograph unless their parent or legal guardian has first provided DOGLOC with written consent. If another identifiable adult appears in the photograph, that person must also consent to being photographed and to the permitted uses described in these terms.
7. Judging
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
All valid entries will be judged by a panel appointed by DOGLOC based on:
- the personality and character captured in the photograph;
- the connection between the entrant and their dog; and
- how well the photograph captures the DOGLOC spirit of “Life is better when you bring your dog.”
The judges will select the entry they consider strongest overall with regard to these criteria.
Judging will be completed by the 24th August 2026 at the Promoter’s premises or remotely by the appointed judging panel.
The judges’ decision is final, subject to applicable law, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process.
8. Prize
The winner will receive one DOGLOC prize pack comprising:
- 1 x DOGLOC leather collar and lead set;
- 1 x DOGLOC leather poop bag holder; and
- 1 x DOGLOC AirTag-Compatible Keyring; and
- Free shipping to an address within Australia.
The total recommended retail value of the prize is $307 AUD, including GST.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If a prize component becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may substitute it with a substantially similar item of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law.
The Promoter is not responsible for any change in the value of the prize after the Competition begins.
9. Winner notification
The winner will be notified using the email address supplied on their entry form by 31st August 2026.
DOGLOC may also announce the winner using the winner’s first name, dog’s name and Competition photograph on DOGLOC’s website, social media channels and email marketing.
The winner must respond within seven days of the notification being sent and provide any information reasonably required to verify their eligibility and arrange delivery of the prize.
If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within seven days, is found to be ineligible, or does not comply with these terms, the Promoter may award the prize to the next highest-ranked eligible entry.
The prize will be delivered to an Australian address as supplied by the winner.
10. Use of photographs
By entering, the entrant consents to DOGLOC photographing the entrant and their dog and using the resulting photograph together with the entrant’s first name and dog’s name for:
- administering and promoting the Competition;
- announcing and featuring entrants and the winner;
- DOGLOC’s website and online store;
- DOGLOC’s organic and paid social media;
- DOGLOC email marketing; and
- other DOGLOC advertising, publicity, and promotional materials.
This consent applies worldwide for three years from the Competition closing date. Material published during that period may remain in DOGLOC’s historical website, social media or email archives after the three-year period.
DOGLOC may crop, resize, retouch or add branding, captions or other design elements to a photograph, provided the photograph is not used in a misleading, derogatory or materially distorted manner.
The entrant will not receive a fee, royalty or other compensation for these uses.
To the extent that an entrant holds any rights in a Competition photograph, the entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the photograph for the purposes and period described above.
An entrant may contact support@dogloc.com to withdraw consent for new uses of their photograph. Withdrawal before judging may make the entry ineligible because DOGLOC will no longer be able to administer or judge it. Withdrawal will not require DOGLOC to recall or remove material already printed, distributed or lawfully published, although DOGLOC will consider reasonable removal requests for material under its control.
11. Email marketing
Joining the DOGLOC email list is a condition of entry.
By providing the separate email marketing consent on the entry form, entrants agree to receive DOGLOC news, product information, special offers, and other marketing communications by email.
Entrants may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in a DOGLOC email. Unsubscribing after submitting a valid entry will not invalidate that entry.
12. Privacy
The Promoter will collect information including the entrant’s name, email address, dog’s name, photo entry number, consent records and photograph.
This information will be used to:
- administer, judge and publicise the Competition;
- contact and verify the winner;
- deliver the prize;
- maintain evidence of the entrant’s consents; and
- send DOGLOC email marketing where consent has been provided.
Information may be disclosed to service providers assisting with the Competition, photography, website hosting, email marketing, data storage and prize delivery. Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia.
Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the DOGLOC Privacy Policy.
Entrants may request access to or correction of their personal information, or ask a privacy-related question, by contacting support@dogloc.com.
13. Disqualification
The Promoter may disqualify an entrant who:
- provides false, misleading or incomplete information;
- tampers with or attempts to manipulate the entry or judging process;
- submits more entries than permitted;
- behaves in an unsafe, abusive or inappropriate manner;
- fails to comply with these terms; or
- does anything that may damage the reputation of the Competition, DOGLOC or the market organiser.
Any disqualification will be made reasonably and in good faith.
14. Changes or cancellation
If circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control prevent the Competition from being conducted as intended, the Promoter may modify, suspend, postpone or cancel the Competition, subject to applicable law.
Any material change will be published on the DOGLOC Photo Competition page as soon as reasonably practicable.
15. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance or use of the prize, except to the extent caused by the Promoter’s negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct.
Entrants remain responsible for supervising and controlling their dogs at all times.
16. Market and social media disclaimer
The Competition is conducted by DOGLOC and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Paws in the Park, Instagram, Facebook, Meta, Shopify, or any other social media or ecommerce platform.
Entrants release those organisations from claims arising solely from the administration of the Competition, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and any courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
